NOTES

Cushion is made up of 2 identical Panels. Each Panel is worked in rows throughout. Where 2 colours are used across the same row, carry the unused colour across the wrong side of your work.

CUSHION PANEL MAKE 2

Using Silver, ch81.

Row 1 (RS) Ss in second ch from hook, (htr in next ch, ss in next ch) 39 times, htr in final ch, turn. [80 sts]

Rows 2-20 Ch1 (does not count as st throughout), ss in first st, (htr in next st, ss in next st) 39 times, htr in final st, turn. Change to Turquoise.

Row 21 Ch1, dc in fl of each st across, turn. Change to Silver.

Row 22 Ch1, dc in each unworked bl from Row

Rows 23-25 Ch1, dc in each st across, turn. Row 26 Ch1, (dc in next 7 sts, change to Gold, 5-tr cl in next st, change to Silver) 9 times, dc in final 8 sts, turn.

Rows 27-30 Ch1, dc in each st across, turn. Change to Turquoise.

Row 31 Ch1, dc in fl of each st across, turn. Change to Gold.

Row 32 Ch1, dc in each unworked bl from Row 30, turn.

HONEYCOMB SECTION

This section is worked as a background of dc stitches, with FPtr worked on the right side as an overlay. The FPtr are treated as extra stitches, so when the wrong side is worked in dc, they are skipped in order to maintain the 80 stitches per row.

The first row of FPtr stitches are worked around the posts of the stitches in Row 30. All subsequent FPtr stitches are worked around the posts of the FPtr stitches in the rows below.

Row 33 (RS) Ch1, dc in first 2 sts, FPtr around next st, (dc in next 4 sts, FPtr around next st) 19 times, dc in final 2 sts, turn. [80 dc, 20 FPtr]

Row 34 (WS) Ch1, dc in first 2 sts, (skip next st, dc in next 4 sts) 19 times, skip next st, dc in final 2 sts, turn. [80 dc]

Row 35 Ch1, FPtr around first FPtr 2 rounds below, *dc in next 4 sts, FPtr2tog prev FPtr and next FPtr 2 rounds below (first FPtr worked around on prev st); rep from * 18 times more, dc in next 4 sts, FPtr around final FPtr 2 rounds below, turn. [80 dc, 21 FPtr]

Row 36 Ch1, skip first st, (dc in next 4 sts, skip next st) 19 times, dc in final 4 sts, turn. [80 dc]

Row 37 Ch1, FPtr around FPtr directly below, (dc in next 4 sts, FPtr around next FPtr 2 rounds below) 20 times, turn. [101 sts]

Row 38 As Row 36.

Row 39 Ch1, dc in first 2 sts, FPtr2tog first 2 FPtr 2 rows below, (dc in next 4 sts, FPtr2tog prev FPtr and next FPtr) 19 times, dc in final 2 sts, turn. [100 sts]

Row 40 Ch1, dc in first 2 sts, (skip next st, dc in next 4 sts) 19 times, skip 1 st, dc in final 2 sts, turn. [80 sts]

Rows 41-72 Repeat Rows 33-40 another 4 times.

Change to Turquoise.

Row 73 Ch1, dc in fl of each st across, turn. Change to Silver.

Row 74 Ch1, dc in each unworked bl from Row 72, turn.

Rows 75-77 Ch1, dc in each st across, turn. Row 78 Ch1, (dc in next 7 sts, change to Gold, 5-tr cl in next st, change to Silver) 9 times, dc in final 8 sts, turn.

Rows 79-82 Ch1, dc in each st across, turn. Change to Turquoise.

Row 83 Ch1, dc in fl of each st across, turn. Change to Silver.

Row 84 (Working in unused bl from Row 82) Ch1 (ss in next st, htr in next st) 40 times, turn.

Rows 85-103 Ch1, (ss in next st, htr in next st) 40 times, turn.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

TO MAKE UP

Place both Panels together with RS facing out. Join Turquoise through corner on both Panels and work next round through both pieces to join.

Round 1 Ch1, *3dc in corner, dc in each st and row-end to next corner; rep from * 3 times more inserting the cushion pad before joining final side, ss to beg dc.

Fasten off and weave in ends.
