TENSION

15 sts and 16 rows measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over patt using 4.5mm hook

ABBREVIATIONS

3-dtr cl *Yrh twice, insert hook in st indicated, yrh and pull up loop, (yrh and pull through 2 loops on hook) twice; rep from * twice more, yrh and pull through all loops on hook For a full list, see page 94 ‘Put an extra layer on’was always the reply when, as children, we complained of the cold, and we’ll certainly take the hint if this tunic is on o er! It looks smart with its neat cable patterns but at the same time won’t scrimp on warmth.

NOTES

The Tunic is made up of a Back and Front piece. Both pieces are worked from four separate Cable Stitch Patterns. The stitch patterns are written out first and referred to throughout the pattern for the Tunic.

The Back measures approx 8cm more than the Front due to a larger Rib. You can slightly adjust the length of the Front or Back by working a longer or shorter ch at the start of the Rib.

There is a Stitch Diagram on page 95, which you will need to refer to.
