Bodice trim Join the side seam. Turn to the right side and place over the Doll, having the trim level with the top of the arms, sew in place.

Face It’s useful to embroider the face before sewing on the Hair, as it means that the yarn ends can be hidden below the Hair piece. Mark points on the front of the Head for eyes, nose and mouth using pins, and having the eyes 7 rows up from the neck increases and 3 sts apart; the nose 1 row below the eyes and central to the eye pins; the mouth 4 rows up from the neck. Using Yarn C, make the eyes by working small vertical sts at the position marked by the pins. Using Yarn B, make the nose by working one or two horizontal sts at the position marked. Using Yarn D, make the mouth by working a ‘V’ shape at the position marked by the pins.

Note Remember pins are a knitter’s best friend, use them to check what things are going to look like and that they are in the best place before you sew them on.

Hair Sew the main seam. Turn to the right side. Lightly stuff the bun section. Fold the hair in half to find the halfway point. Sew a running stitch from the cast-on edge to the bun. Place the Hair on the Head, pulling up the running stitch sts to create a centre parting. Once you are happy with the position, sew in place.

Veil Sew the cast off row of the Veil across the bottom row of the bun at the back of the Head.
