*Pull yarn tightly across back of work and knit 2 of these new cast-on stitches, then slip the next stitch onto the right needle, knit the next stitch and then pass the slipped stitch over it. Slide the stitches back to the left-hand needle** and repeat from * until you have worked all the stitches along the first side. Work 2 rows in i-cord straight – knit across the stitches and then, without turning the work, slide the stitches right to the tip of the needle, pull the yarn tightly across the back of the work and knit across the stitches again. Repeat from * to ** once more so that you’ve rejoined the i-cord to the corner, and discard your marker if used. Work 2 more rows in i-cord straight. **** Repeat from *** to **** twice more.
