Break yarn and thread through rem st. Pull tight to fasten.

BODY

Cast on 11 sts using 3 mm needles. Note Starts at the bottom edge. Rows 1-13 Starting on a WS purl row, work in st st.

Row 14 K1, (k2tog) 5 times. [6 sts] Break yarn and thread through rem st. Pull tight to fasten.

ARMS

(MAKE 2)

Cast on 5 sts using 3 mm needles. Note Starts at the top edge.

Rows 1-7 Starting on a WS row, work in st st.

Break yarn and thread through rem st. Pull tight to fasten.

TO MAKE UP

Kangaroo Sew the cast-on edge of the Snout to the cast-off edge of the Head. Sew the side edges of the Snout tog, adding stuffing as you sew.

Note This seam will run down the centre-underside of the Head.

Insert the safety eyes on the Head. Then sew tog the side edges of the Head, stuffing as you sew. Gather the cast-on sts tog at the back of the Head.

Fold each Ear in half, sew side edges tog and oversew cast-on edge tog, and sew onto top of Head.

Note For the Body, the cast-off edge is the neckline and this is left open. Sew the side edges tog, adding stuffing as you sew.

Note This seam will run down the centre-back of the Body.

Gather the cast-on sts together at the base of the Body. Sew the underside of the Head onto the cast-off edge (neckline) of the Body. Sew the cast-off and side edges of the Pouch onto the Body.

Note For each Arm and the Tail, sew the side edges tog and stuff.

Sew the cast-on edge onto the Body. For each Leg, sew side edges and cast-on edge tog, add stuffing, and sew cast-off edge tog at front of Leg. Sew onto the side of the Body.

Joey Sew the side edges of the Head tog, adding stuffing as you sew. Note This seam will run down the centre-underside of the Head.

Gather the cast-on sts tog at the back of the Head. Insert the safety eyes on the Head. Sew cast-on edges of Ears onto the Head.

Sew side edges of Body tog. Sew Head onto the top of the Body. Sew side edges of Arms tog, and sew cast-on edge onto the Body.
