ON A PURL ROW

-

1 Ok, so now you’re adept in wrestling that naughty knit stitch to the top of your work, but what about if you’re working a purl row? Well, you’ll be pleased to know you can fix dropped purl stitches just as easily as the knitted ones! Work along your row until you have reached the dropped stitch and insert your crochet hooks into the stitch, from the back to the front of your work (the bars of yarn from the rows above should be sitting in front of your hook).

2 Still working from the back to the front, insert your hook underneath the bar of yarn from the row above the stitch on your hook and draw the bar of yarn through the stitch on your hook, slipping the original stitch off your hook as you do so.

3 Repeat the instructions in Step 2 until you have run out of bars of yarn, having worked your way up to the row you are currently knitting.

4 Insert your left-hand knitting needle into the front of the stitch you currently have on your hook, and remove the hook from the stitch so that the stitch now sits on the left-hand needle. Work this stitch as normal and continue working along the row as instructed by your pattern.
