WORK YOUR STITCHES USING WASTE YARN

-

1 Cast on your required number of stitches using a flexible cast on, such as the thumb cast on, using waste yarn. Work two or three rows in the same yarn. Change to your working yarn and begin your pattern as instructed.

2 When you’ve finished your pattern, cut off the cast-on row using scissors, being careful not to cut the working yarn.

3 Now carefully unravel your stitches until you reach your working yarn…

4 …and return them to your needles, ready to graft those cowl ends together, add extra length or a sideways border!
