TENSION

Yarn used knits as DK to this tension: 20 sts and 28 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using 4mm needles, after blocking

For a full list see page 95 Stay cool all summer long with this trim top with colour block pattern. Worked in garter and stocking stitch, it has just a small amount of shaping at the waist, keeping it simple to knit. You’ll be pleased to hear this top is budget-friendly, and throws in a little wrap and turn challenge for those who want to up their skills, too!

Cast on 84 (96: 100: 110: 120) sts using 4mm needles and Yarn B.

Row 1 (RS) K to end.

Block pieces to measuremen­ts.

Join shoulders by working a three-needle cast off knitwise on the WS.

Join seam side seams.

NECKLINE

Using Yarn B and 4mm circular needle, starting at the left shoulder, pick up and knit 20 (24: 26: 28: 30) to front neck, knit 20 (20: 22: 22: 24) from front neck, pick up and knit 20 (24: 26: 28: 30) to right shoulder, pick up and knit 4 to back neck, K30 (30: 32: 32: 34) from back neck, pick up and knit 4 to left shoulder. Join to work in the round.

Round 1 P to end.

Round 2 K to end.

Round 3 Cast off purlwise.

Weave in ends and gently block to measuremen­ts, following any yarn care instructio­ns on the ball band.
