We take five minutes with Erika Knight and delve into her daily routine…

Up early or slow to rise? Up early – I’m a night owl too and often find that inspiration strikes in those small hours, or early in the morning!

First job of the day? Taking Winnie our three-legged chihuahua out for a walk. I live five minutes from Brighton sea front – a big breath of sea air is a great way to start the day.

Mid-morning pick-me-up? Tea and a biscuit!

Fave time to sit back and take five? Taking time o is a real treat, and always more fun mid-week when everyone else is working! I like having a mooch in flea markets and junk shops.

Leisurely lunchtime? Just a quick sandwich at my desk and a review of my diary for the week.

Post-lunch priorities? Every day is di erent, it could be calling stockists, designing new yarns, sketching ideas, swatching stitches or planning an upcoming workshop or talk.

Clocking-o time? When you run your own business there is no end to the day. Even when I close the door to the studio my mind is busy with ideas and to-do lists! For more on Erika, www.erikaknight.co.uk.

Erika’s mind is always buzzing with new yarn ideas…
