1 Push the point of your right-hand nee­dle through the first two stitches on your left-hand nee­dle, go­ing from right to left as you would for a purl stitch.

2 Bring yarn anti-clock­wise around the nee­dle, be­tween the two nee­dles.

3 Pull the yarn through both stitches, as you would when work­ing a purl stitch, and drop both stitches from the left-hand nee­dle.

4 Purl­ing two stitches to­gether de­creases your stitch count by one, and the de­crease stitch leans to the right. This is how a se­ries looks on the right side of st st.
