SLEEVES (MAKE 2)

Cast on 46 (50: 50: 50: 54) sts using 3.25mm needles. Work in rib as given for Back for 18 rows, inc 1 (0: 1: 1: 1) st at each end of last row and ending with RS facing for next row.

[48 (50: 52: 52: 56) sts] Change to 3.75mm needles.

Beg with a knit row, work in st st throughout as folls:

Inc 1 st at each end of 5th (5th: 5th: 5th: 3rd) and every foll 4th (4th: 4th: 4th: alt) row to 54 (74: 84: 108: 64) sts, then on every foll 6th (6th: 6th: -: 4th) row until there are 86 (94: 100: -: 116) sts.

Cont straight until Sleeve measures 44 (44: 45: 45: 45)cm, ending with RS facing for next row.

SHAPE SLEEVE TOP

Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows. [80 (88: 94: 102: 110) sts] Dec 1 st at each end of next and foll 4 alt rows, then on foll row, ending with RS facing for next row.

Cast off rem 68 (76: 82: 90: 98) sts.

MAKING UP

Block pieces gently, following any instructio­ns on the ball band. Join right shoulder seam using back stitch or mattress stitch.

NECKBAND

With RS facing and using 3.25mm needles, pick up and K21 (21: 24: 24: 25) sts down left side of front neck, knit across 18 sts on front holder, pick up and K21 (21: 24: 24: 25) sts up right side of front neck, and 5 sts down right side of back neck, knit across 32 (32: 34:

34: 36) sts on back holder, then pick up and K5 up left side of back neck. [102 (102: 110: 110: 114) sts]

Beg with Row 2, work in rib as given for Back for 25 rows, ending with RS facing for next row.

Cast off in rib.

FINISHING

Join left shoulder seam and neckband. Place centre of cast-off edge of Sleeve to shoulder seam. Join cast-off sts at beg of armhole shaping to cast-off sts at start of sleevehead shaping. Sew sleevehead into armhole, easing in shapings. Join side and Sleeve seams.
