COSY GLOVES

RIGHT GLOVE

Cast on 48 sts and divide evenly over four needles, 12 sts each. Beg of round is between Needles 4 and 1. Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.

Rounds 1 to 4 Purl. (Sets reverse st st pattern.)

Round 5 *K1 tbl, P1; rep from * to end. (Sets twisted ribbing.) Rep Round 5 until work measures 10cm from cast-on edge. Knit 2 rounds, evenly dec 8 sts across first round. 10 sts rem on each needle. [40 sts]

THUMB GUSSET

Round 1 Knit to beg of Needle 3, K1, M1, K3, M1, K to end. [42 sts] Rounds 2 to 3 Knit.

Round 4 Knit to beg of Needle 3, K1, M1, K5, M1, K to end. [44 sts] Round 5 to 6 Knit.

Round 7 Knit to beg of Needle 3, K1, M1, K7, M1, K to end. [46 sts] Round 8 to 9 Knit.

Round 10 Knit to beg of Needle 3, K1, M1, K9, M1, K to end. [48 sts] Round 11 to 12 Knit.

Round 13 Knit to beg of Needle 3, K1, M1, K11, M1, K to end. [50 sts] Knit 1 round.

Next round Knit to beg of Needle 3, K1, place next 13 sts on hold for thumb gusset, cast on 3 sts over gap using backward loop method, knit to end.

Continue in st st until Glove reaches the base of your little finger. Note When setting up for each finger you may need to slip stitches between needles to make them accessible to work across.

LITTLE FINGER

Knit across 5 sts from the beginning of Needle 1 (back of hand), cast on 3 sts between the Little Finger and the Ring Finger using the backward loop method, knit across 5 sts from the end of Needle 4 (palm). [13 sts]

Divide the sts over three needles and work st st in the round until the Little Finger almost covers your fingernail.

TOP DECREASES

K2tog at the end of each needle until 3 sts remain. Break yarn and pull it through the sts. Securely weave in.

Move the sts you left on hold onto the needles and pick up 3 sts from the base of the Little Finger. [33 sts]

Work 3 rounds on all sts, ending last round before the 3 sts picked up from base of the Little Finger.

RING FINGER

Knit across the 3 sts at base of Little Finger, knit across 5 sts from Needle 1 (back of hand), cast on 3 sts between the Ring Finger and Middle Finger using the backwards loop method, knit across 4 sts from end of Needle 4 (palm). [15 sts]

Work as for the Little Finger.
