Circular needle size 2 mm (40 cm) Tension: Pattern II, 2 mm needles: 24 sts = 10 cm wide. 34 rows = 10 cm high (in pattern sequence). Tip: Fully fashioned dec: Right edge = 1 edge st, p1, p2tog. Left edge = p2tog, p1, 1 edge st. Pattern I: 2 mm needles (1 strand of Canapa): stocking st = RS k, WS p. Pattern II: 2 mm needles (1 strand of Canapa): reverse stocking st = RS p, WS k.

Pattern III: 2 mm needles (with 1 strand Canapa and 1 strand Deco): Row 1, RS: p.

Row 2, WS: 1 edge st, * yo, k1 *, rep from * to *, ending with yo, 1 edge st.

Row 3: 1 edge st, * p2tog, yo *, rep from * to *, allowing the yarn overs of the prev row to drop, ending with 1 edge st. Row 4: 1 edge st, * k1 tbl, k1 *, rep from * to *, ending with 1 edge st. Pattern IV: 2 mm needles (1 strand of Canapa): k2, p2 in the rnd.

Pattern sequence: * 12 rows pattern II with 1 strand of Canapa, 4 rows pattern III with 1 strand Canapa and 1 strand Deco *, rep from * to *. Back Cast on 158 (174) sts with 2 mm needles and Canapa. Knit in pattern I. At 2,5 cm from the cast-on work 1 RS row in purl (= foldline), then continue knitting in pattern I, then at about 3,5 cm knit a hole at the left edge for casing opening, as foll: 1 edge st, k153 (169), cast off 1 st, k2, 1 edge st. On the next row work a yo in place of the cast-off st. At 5 cm from cast-on, continue in

pattern sequence. For the side shaping, inc 1 st at each end of every 6th row 10 times = 178 (194) sts. Incorporate the new sts into the appropriate pattern. At a length of 25 cm, measured hanging, place a marker at each end of the row. Keep knitting straight.

Shoulders: At 15 (17) cm from markers, cast off alt (4 sts once + 5 sts once) on every other row 7 (8) times.

For size 34-40 cast off another 3 sts once (= a total of 66 (72) sts each side)

Neck: When back measures 47 (49) cm, cast off the middle 40 (44) sts, then at neck edge either side cast off 2 sts once and 1 st once on alt rows. Front Knit as for back, work the hole in the casing at the right edge, as foll: 1 edge st, k2, cast off 1 st, k153 (169), 1 edge st.

Neck: When front measures 27 (29) cm divide in the centre and finish knitting each side separately. Work fully fashioned dec to shape neckline, dec 1 st at neck edge on every other row 23 (25) times (see tip). Work shoulders at same length and in same way as for back. Tie Cast on 6 sts with 2 mm doublepointed needles and Canapa. Close to knit in the round and knit an i-cord. Cast off at about 190 (200) cm. Finishing Close seams, join side seams up to markers.

For armhole border with 2 mm needles and Canapa pick up 104 (112) sts between the markers on the front and back. Purl 1 rnd, then knit pattern IV in the rnd. When border measures 10 cm cast off all sts loosely, in pattern.

Neckband: With the circular needle, pick up 156 (168) sts (back = 52 (56) sts, front = 52 (56) sts each side). Purl 1 rnd, then knit in pattern IV, arranging the sts so that the 2 centre front sts are k2. For the point of the V-neck, dec 2 sts on every rnd: knit to the st before the 2 centre sts, k2tog, sl1, k1, psso. When neckband measures approx. 2.5 cm cast off all sts loosely, in pattern. Turn up the casing at the hem and sew in place. Thread the tie through the casing and knot.
