To fit 50-52 (52-54) cm head circumfere­nce

Arm warmers:

18 cm in circumfere­nce, 21 cm long

Materials:

Lana Grossa, Brigitte No. 2. Content: 47% baby alpaca, 45% cotton, 8% merino wool.

50 g = 140 m.

Hat:

2 balls – col 17 Green/Yellow Arm warmers:

1 ball – col 17 Green/Yellow

Needles:

Double-pointed needles size 5 mm

Tension:

15 sts and 25 rnds = 10 x 10 cm in rib patt on size 5 mm needles, measured slightly stretched.

Rib patt: p2, k2.

When only one figure is given, it applies to both sizes.

Hat

With size 5 mm dpns cast on 60 (64) sts. Arrange sts evenly on 4 needles = 15 (16) sts per needle, place beg of rnd marker and join for working in rnds. Work in rib patt until piece meas 19 (20) cm from cast-on.

Shape crown: Next dec rnd: Work in rib patt, p2tog in every alt p2 rib section = 7 (8) sts decreased and 53 (56) sts rem. Next rnd: Work sts as they appear. Next dec rnd: Work sts as they appear, p2tog in every rem p2 rib section = 8 sts decreased and 45 (48) sts rem. Next rnd: Work sts as they appear. Next dec rnd: Work sts as they appear, k2tog in every alt k2 rib section = 7 (8) sts decreased and 38 (40) sts rem. Next rnd: Work sts as they appear. Next dec rnd: Work sts as they appear, k2tog in every rem k2 rib section = 8 sts decreased and 30 (32) sts rem. Next dec rnd: K2tog around = 15 (16) sts rem. Cut yarn, draw yarn end through rem sts and pull tight.

Finishing

Carefully weave in all ends.

Arm warmers

Make 2 alike.

With size 5 mm dpns cast on 32 sts. Arrange sts evenly on 4 needles = 8 sts per needle, place beg of rnd marker and join for working in rnds. Work in rib patt until piece meas 22 cm from cast-on. Bind off all sts in rib.

Finishing

Carefully weave in all ends.

Langyarns, Wooladdict­s Air. Content: 84% merino extra fine, 16% nylon.

50 g = 125 m.

3 balls – col 1001.0039 wood 1 ball – col 1001.0035 navy

1 ball – col 1001.0075 brick

Needles:

Circular needle size 6 mm (80-100 cm)

Tension:

Pattern I, 6 mm needles: 14 sts = 10 cm wide. 24 rows = 10 cm long.

Tip 1: The scarf is knitted crosswise.

Tip 2: When you change colour the end of the yarn will be knotted into the fringe. Leave ends about 19 cm long.

Pattern I: 6 mm needles: reverse stocking st = RS p, WS k.

Colour sequence: 15 rows wood, 2 rows brick, 1 row wood, 5 rows navy, 1 row wood, 2 rows brick, 17 rows wood, 2 rows brick, 1 row wood, 5 rows navy, 1 row wood, 2 rows brick, 15 rows wood.

Cast on 254 sts with 6 mm needles and wood. Knit in pattern I, following the colour sequence. Work for about 28 cm, then cast off all sts.

Finishing

For fringes, cut strands of yarn about 38 cm in length. Knot fringes along the short ends of the shawl, about 12 each end in matching colours. Knot 4-5 strands together for each one.
