Maintaining selvage sts, cont in rib patt as established until piece meas 6 cm from cast-on, increasing 9 sts evenly across last WS row = 107 (115) 123 sts. Change to size 4 mm needles. Work in st st for 4 rows.
Work rows 1 and 2 of chart A for eyelet row. Work in st st until piece meas 25 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row. Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Place rem 99 (107) 115 sts on holder.
Left front
With size 3 mm needles cast on 42 (46) 50 sts. Next row (WS): Slip garter selvage, p1, * k2, p2; rep from * to last 4 sts, k2, p1, slip garter selvage. Maintaining selvage sts, cont in rib patt as established until piece meas 6 cm from cast-on, increasing 5 sts evenly across last WS row = 47 (51) 55 sts. Change to size 4 mm needles. Work in st st for 4 rows. Work rows 1 and 2 of chart A for eyelet row. Work in st st until piece meas 25 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row. Bind off 4 sts at beg of next RS row. Right front
Work same as for left front, reversing all shaping and patt placement.
Sleeves
With size 3 mm needles cast on 46 (54) 62 sts. Next row (WS): Slip garter selvage, p1, * k2, p2; rep from * to last 4 sts, k2, p1, slip garter selvage. Maintaining selvage sts, cont in rib patt as established until piece meas 3 cm from cast-on, increasing 10 sts evenly across last WS row = 56 (64) 72 sts. Change to size 4 mm needles.
Shape sleeve: Inc row (RS): Work in st st and working full-fashion inc, inc 1 st at each end of row = 58 (66) 74 sts. Cont in St st, rep inc row on foll 19 rows = 96 (104) 112 sts. Work even until piece meas 22 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row. Bind off 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Place rem 86 (94) 102 sts on holder.
Yoke
With longer size 4 mm circular needle and RS facing, knit across right front sts, sleeve sts, back sts, sleeve sts and left front sts and at same time, k2tog all adjoining selvage sts = 353 (385) 417 sts. Purl 1 WS row. Place marker 4 sts before and 4 sts after each decreased st = 9 sts between markers. Next row (RS): * Work in st st to marker, sl marker [slm], work row 1 of chart B to next marker, slm; rep from * 3 more times, work in st st to end = 353 (385) 417. Working sts between markers according to chart B and rem sts in st st, work rows 1 – 8 of chart B once, then rep rows 5 – 8 another 26 (30) 34 times. Change to shorter size 4 mm circular needle as stitch count decreases. At same time, when yoke meas 12 (18) 24 cm from beg, shape right and left front neck edge as foll: Working full-fashion dec B, dec 1 st at each end of next RS row, then every 16th row 5 times. Finishing
Pin piece to measurements and block. Sew side and sleeve seams. Front and neckband: With size 3 mm circular needle and RS facing, pick up and k 144 (156) 168 sts evenly along right front edge, knit across 104 sts on holder, pick up and k 144 (156) 168 sts evenly along left front edge = 392 (416) 440 sts. Next row (WS): Slip st selvage, p2, * k2, p2; rep from *, end slip st selvage. Maintaining selvage sts, cont in rib patt as established until band meas 6 cm from pick-up row. Bind off all sts in rib. With size 3 mm crochet hook and RS facing, work 1 row sl st along pick-up row of front and neckband.
