SLEEVES

Cast on 50 (54: 58: 62) sts using 3.25mm needles.

Row 1 K2, (P2, K2) to end.

Row 2 P2, (K2, P2) to end.

These 2 rows form the rib.

Work another 14 rows in rib as set, inc 1 st at centre of last row. [51 (55: 59: 63) sts]

Change to 4mm needles and work in patt as follows:

Row 1 (RS) Beg with st 5 (8: 6: 9) of Chart, patt 6 (3: 5: 2) sts to end of Row 1 of Chart (st 10), work 10-st rep 4 (5: 5: 6) times, patt 5 (2: 4: 1) st(s) to end, ending with st 5 (2: 4: 1) of Chart.

Row 2 Beg with st 5 (2: 4: 1) of Chart, patt 5 (2: 4: 1) st(s) to beg of Row 2 of Chart (st 1), work 10-st rep 4 (5: 5: 6) times, patt 5 (8: 6: 9) sts to end, ending with st 5 (8: 6: 9) of Chart.

These 2 rows set placement of Chart.

Work another 6 (6: 10: 10) rows in patt, ending after a WS row. SHAPE SLEEVES

Taking new sts into patt, inc 1 st at each end of the next and 9 (10: 11: 12) foll 10th (10th: 8th: 8th) rows. [71 (77: 83: 89) sts] Cont straight until Sleeve measures 45cm from cast-on edge, ending after a WS row. SHAPE TOP SLEEVE Cast off 6 (8: 10: 12) sts at beg of next 2 rows. [59 (61: 63: 65) sts] Next row (RS dec) K2tog, patt to last 2 sts, skpo. [2 sts dec’d] Work 1 row straight.

Rep the last 2 rows another 8 (8: 9: 9) times. [41 (43: 43: 45) sts]

Rep dec row. [2 sts dec’d]

Work 3 rows straight.

Rep the last 4 rows another 3 (4: 4: 5) times. [33 sts]

Rep dec row. [2 sts dec’d]

Work 1 row straight.

Rep the last 2 rows once more. [29 sts]

Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 4 rows. [17 sts]

Cast off.

NECKBAND

Join both shoulder seams.

With RS facing, using 3.25mm needles, place 13 (14: 15: 16) sts from Right Front neck holder on a needle, pick up and knit 34 sts up right side of Right Front neck, K47 (49: 51: 53) sts from back neck holder, pick up and knit 33 sts down left side of front neck. K13 (14: 15: 16) sts from Left Front holder. [140 (144: 148: 152) sts]

Rib row 1 (WS) P3, (K2, P2) to last 5 sts, K2, P3.

Rib row 2 K3, (P2, K2) to last 5 sts, P2, K3.

These 2 rows form the rib.

Work another 5 rows in rib as set.

Cast off in rib.

BUTTON BAND

With RS facing, using 3.25mm needles, pick up and knit 112 (116: 124: 128) sts (approx 9 sts every 10 rows) evenly down Left Front edge. Rib row 1 (WS) K1, P2, (K2, P2) to last st, K1. Rib row 2 K3, (P2, K2) to last 5 sts, P2, K3. These 2 rows form the rib.

Work another 5 rows in rib as set. Cast off in rib.

BUTTONHOLE BAND

With RS facing, using 3.25mm needles, pick up and knit 112 (116: 124: 128) sts (approx 9 sts every 10 rows) evenly up Right Front edge. Rib row 1 (WS) K1, P2, (K2, P2) to last st, K1.

Rib row 2 K3, (P2, K2) to last 5 sts, P2, K3.

These 2 rows form the rib.

Work 1 more row in rib as set.

Buttonhole row (RS) Rib 7 (6: 7: 7) [rib2tog, y2rn, rib2tog, rib 12 (13: 14: 12)] 6 (6: 6: 7) times, rib2tog, y2rn, rib2tog, rib 5 (4: 5: 5). Work another 3 rows in rib. Cast off in rib.

MAKING UP

Set in the Sleeves. Sew the side and Sleeve seams. Sew on the buttons. Block gently to measuremen­ts, following any yarn care instructio­ns on the ballband.
