Zoey Linton, Service and Volunteer Coordinator Charity SiMBA

Established 2005 What do you do? SiMBA is here to help anyone a ected by the loss of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth. We do this by donating memory boxes to hospital wards and hospices across the UK and Ireland as well as creating family rooms within hospitals to give a private space for families to make precious memories with their babies. In partnership with CHAS, we also provide free bereavement training that is open to health care professionals, students and anyone who supports bereaved families. Additionally, we provide safe space virtual support groups for bereaved parents and family members and we plan to re-introduce our face-to-face support groups as soon as it is safe to do so. Latest fundraising news We usually hold annual awareness events like our butterfly releases, which are a wonderful way to remember and honour our babies. It has been 18 months since we have been able to hold a physical event, so we are looking to go virtual by inviting crafters to make a butterfly, share pictures on social media and donate to SiMBA. What can we do to help? We are always looking for memory box items and right now we really need more pairs of small and medium bears.
