BREATHTAKING BLANKET

- Sophie

QWith winter on the horizon I am looking to make a big warm throw for my king-sized bed. I want to knit something intricate and di erent but I’ve had a look and can’t find anything I like online. Do you have any suggestions? Karen Pegg, via Twitter

Of course, we always love an excuse to go pattern hunting! It’s a good idea to get ahead on knitting blankets for the colder seasons, so that you can enjoy them for a long as possible before summer begins. We might be biased, but we adore the Nordic Blanket KAL that was featured in issues 205-207. If you missed out on these issues, you can purchase digital back issues (www. gathered.how/digital-issues) and we are going to be uploading the KALs to our Ravelry store soon. If you prefer something more portable, Tiny Owl Knits’ Beekeeper’s Quilt (www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ the-beekeepers-quilt) is the perfect choice, and you can really go to town with adding colourwork and other stitch patterns to the little hexipu s.
