Back

Using needles size 5 mm, cast on 82 (90) 100 (108) 116 sts and work 6 rows of garter stitch.

Switch to needles size 6 mm and divide sts as follows: 4 sts in textured pattern, 74 (82) 92 (100) 108 sts in reverse stocking stitch (p on right side), 4 sts in textured pattern. Continue with sts divided as described above. When you have worked 24 rs (11 cm), continue working in reverse stocking stitch.

Armhole shaping: When the work measures 37,5 (37,5) 39,5 (41,5) 42,5 cm, cast off 3 sts. on each side once, then cast off 1 st on each side three times, then cast off 1 st on alternate rs twice = 66 (74) 84 (92) 100 sts.

Shoulder shaping: When the work measures 56,5 (58,5) 62,5 (65,5) 67,5 cm, on alternate rs cast off 2x 4 and then 2x 5 (3x 5 and then 1x 6) 2x 6 and then 2x 7 (4x 7) 4x 8 sts. Slide the remaining 30 (32) 32 (36) 36 sts onto a stitch holder.

Front

Using needles size 5 mm, cast on 82 (90) 100 (108) 116 sts and work 6 rs of garter stitch.

Switch to needles size 6 mm, and divide sts as follows: 4 sts in textured pattern, 8 (9) 12 (13) 15 sts in reverse stocking stitch, 11 sts in leaf pattern (follow the chart), 55 (62) 69 (76) 82 sts in reverse stocking stitch, 4 sts in textured pattern. Continue with sts divided as described above. NB: the number of stitches in the leaf pattern varies. When you have worked 24 rs (11 cm), continue in reverse stocking stitch on both sides of the leaf pattern.

When the work measures 37,5 (37,5) 39,5 (41,5) 42,5 cm, shape the armhole on both sides as for the back.

When the work measures 41 (43) 46 (48) 50 cm, divide the work into two halves and work each half separately.

V-neck shaping: Cast off 1 st at the start of first r and then at the start of alternate rs 11 (13) 12 (15) 15 times, and then on every 4th row 4 (3) 4 (3) 3 times.

Shoulder shaping: When your work measures 56,5 (58,5) 62,5 (65,5) 67,5 cm, shape shoulders as for the back.

Work the other half the same, but reverse the shaping.
