4 Cut two ovals for eyes in black felt about 1.5cm long by 1cm wide and pin on head starting about 12 rows up from Yarn C brim, with about 15 sts between them. Ensure that seam at back of hat is in the centre. Cut two 0.5mm circles in white felt as eye highlights and sew in place at top right of each eye.

5 Using black felt cut a 2.5x2cm triangle for a nose and place in centre of face, with tip of triangle directly above brim. Sew eyes and nose in place securely using black thread and a fine needle. Sew ears in position across the back of ear and across the front. Weave in ends and block gently to measurements, following any yarn care instructions on the ball band.
