Romneys are a hardy lowland sheep with a broad white face and a woolly ‘top knot’.They are well adapted to harsh conditions, and are known for their ability to thrive o grass. Suited to ‘easy care’ systems this breed produces a white fleece with lustre, with fibres that varies in fineness for use in knitwear, blankets and carpets.You’ll find this sheep mostly in the south east of England, where it takes its name from the Romney Marsh area.
