Back

Cast on 86 (94) 102 sts and work 4 cm in rib with 1 edge st on each side.

Continue in seed stitch. When your work measures 37 cm, shape armhole edge on both sides: in alternate rows, cast off 1 st 5 times = 76 (84) 92 sts. Left front

Cast on 50 (54) 58 sts and work 4 cm subdivided as follows: Edge st, 40 (44) 48 sts in rib, 8 sts in Brioche pattern, edge st. Continue with sts divided as follows: Edge st, 11 (15) 19 sts in stocking stitch, 29 sts in lace pattern (= 2 pattern repeats), 8 sts in Brioche pattern, edge st. When your work measures 49 (50) 51 cm, slide 9 sts on the left-hand side of your work onto a stitch holder (stitches reserved for the neck edge). Now, in alternate rows, cast off 1x 4, 1x 3 and 1x 2 (2x 2) 3x 2 and then 5x 1 sts.

When the shoulder shaping is complete, there are no sts left.

Right front

Work as left front but reverse the pattern and shaping.

Sleeves

Cast on 38 (40) 42 sts and work 4 cm in rib with 1 edge st on each side. On the last WS row, increase 31 sts evenly in the r = 69 (71) 73 sts.

Continue with sts divided as described below: Edge st, 20 (21) 22 sts in reverse stocking stitch, 1 Brioche stitch, 5 sts in reverse stocking stitch, 15 sts in lacy pattern, 5 sts in reverse stocking stitch, 1 Brioche stitch, 20 (21) 22 sts in reverse stocking stitch, edge st.

When your work measures 48 cm, shape sleeve top: On both sides, cast off 5x 1 (6x 1) 7x 1 sts in consecutive rows, then 4x 1 st in alternate rows and then 3x 4 sts and 1x 5 sts in every 4th row.

When your work measures 57 (58) 59) cm, cast off the remaining 17 sts.

Make second sleeve identical with the first.
