INSPIRATIONAL JEAN

-

How sad to read of Jean Greenhowe’s passing. Her patterns were so inspiring and over the years, I have knitted many of them for members of my family. I also made the baker with the cake for several birthdays. I am retired now, but when I was a teacher, I made lots of her small snowmen and Santas which we sold for our annual Christmas charity event. I also adapted her big

Santa every year, by making him even larger and we ra ed him. Since then I have made her snow folk to sell on a charity stall. Her legacy will live on in her wonderful patterns – she really was such an inspiration to all knitters.

It is very sad news indeed, and thank you for writing in to share your memories of knitting her patterns. Her legacy will certainly live on.
