FEATHERED FRIEND
This is an Alan Dart design I made a few years ago and it is my favourite! I decided not to sew on the eyes – I cut out pieces of white felt and glued them to the face to make the eyes. I used straight pins with black tops for the pupils and stuck them to the felt with a little glue on each pin, which set it firmly. I thinks it gives the character a comical look. I had a bit of trouble with the feet but I think she’s beautiful. She puts a smile on my face whenever I see her.
