When the work measures 15.5 (18.5) 19.5 (20.5) cm, divide the work at the sides (underarm). At the same time, divide the front for the

V-neck = 28 (30) 32 (34) sts for each half of the front. Work the left half of the front first. In alternate rows, dec 1 st at both sides (see decreasing) 7 (8) 9 (10) times = 14 sts. Now, in alternate rows, p2tog at the centre of the 14 sts, twice = 12 sts. When the work measures 27 (29) 31 (33) cm, cast off these 12 sts. Work the right half of the front in the same way.

Back

Armhole shaping: In alternate rows, dec 1 st at both sides for the armhole (see decreases) 7 (8) 9 (10) times = 42 (44) 46 (48) sts.

Neck edge shaping: When the work measures 26 (28) 30 (32) cm, cast off the centre 18 (20) 22 (24) sts for the neckline.

Now work each half separately.

When the work measures 27 (29) 31 (33) cm, cast off the rem 12 sts. Work the other side in reverse.
