Materials:

Rico Creative Riguretto Aran. Content: 55 % acrylic, 30 % nylon, 10 % wool, 5 % mohair.

100 g = 280 m.

1 ball – col 007 grey mix (A)

1 ball – col 001 yellow-green (B) 1 ball – col 002 orange-mix (C)

1 ball – col 003 pink mix (D)

1 ball – col 005 blue mix (E)

1 ball – col 004 green mix (F)

1 ball – col 006 brown mix (G)

Knitting needles:

Size 5½ mm

Tension:

13 sts and 34 rows to 10 cm, over Brioche stitch on 5½ mm needles or the size required to give the correct tension.

Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles, if more use thicker needles.

Using 5½ mm needles, thumb method and A (taking yarn from the outside of the ball), loosely cast on 90 sts.

Foundation row. *Yo, s1 purlwise, k1, rep from * to end.

1st row (RS). *Yo, s1 purlwise, k tog yo and sl st from previous row, rep from * to end.

1st row forms brioche patt. Continue in brioche patt as follows – work ball A from the outside of the ball until the ball is finished ending with a WS row.

Join in B and work in brioche patt from the inside of the ball until the ball is finished ending with WS row. Join in C and work in brioche patt from the outside of the ball until the ball is finished ending with WS row. Join in D and work in brioche patt from the inside of the ball until the ball is finished ending with WS row. Join in E and work in brioche patt from the outside of the ball until the ball is finished ending with WS row. Join in F and work in brioche patt from the inside of the ball until the ball is finished ending with WS row. Join in G and work in brioche patt from the outside of the ball until the ball is finished ending with WS row. Cast off very loosely in patt.

Finishing

Pin out scarf to the measuremen­ts given. Cover with clean, damp tea towels and leave until dry.
