Row 6 Rib 11 and slip these 11 sts on another stitch holder or waste yarn. Work across rem 119 (139: 159: 179) sts as foll: P2 (1: 1: 4), *p2tog, P14 (13: 12: 11); rep from * to last 5 (3: 4: 6) sts, p2tog, P to end. [111 (129: 147: 165) sts]

Join in Yarn A and change to st st, working in patt from Chart, working first and last (edge) sts in Yarn A throughout as follows.

Row 1 (RS) K1, work Row 1 of Chart, working 9-st patt rep 12 (14: 16: 18) times, work last st from Row 1 of Chart, K1.

Row 2 P1, work first st from Row 2 of Chart, work 9-st patt rep 12 (14: 16: 18) times, P1.

Rows 3 to 10 Rep last 2 rows, working subsequent Chart rows until Row 10 is complete.

These 10 rows set patt.

Work 19 more rows in patt.

Next row (WS) Using Yarn A and cable cast-on method, cast on 9 sts to LH needle, P across these 9 sts with Yarn A, patt to end, then using Yarn A and cable cast-on method, cast on 9 sts to LH needle. [129 (147: 165: 183) sts]

Break Yarn B.

Join in Yarn C and change to 4mm needles.

Cont in patt using Yarn C in place of Yarn B until work meas 56 (57: 59: 61)cm from initial cast-on through centre of work, ending after a WS row.
