YOU WILL NEED

■ King Cole, Comfort Aran (60% acrylic, 40% nylon, 100g/200m) 1 ball of each: Yarn MC Shrimp (1824) Yarn CC Cream (333) ■ A pair of 5mm needles ■ A set of 5mm DPNs ■ Toy stuffing

TENSION

Yarn used knits as aran to this tension: 18 sts and 25 rows to meas 10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using 5mm needles

FRONT PANEL

Cast on 39 sts using 5mm needles and MC. Row 1 (RS) Knit. Row 2 (WS) Purl. These 2 rows form st st. Work in st st for 2 more rows. Next row (RS) Work Chart using the Fair Isle technique. Work in st st for 4 more rows. Cast off.

BACK PANEL

Cast on 39 sts using 5mm needles. Work in st st for 18 rows. Cast off.

SIDES

Using DPNs, join MC at the bottom right corner of the front panel. Pick up (pu) and knit 13 sts along the right side of the panel, pm, pu and knit 37 sts along the top width of the panel, pm, pu and knit 13 sts along the left side of the panel, pm, pu and knit 37 sts along the bottom width of the front panel, pm. Join to work in the round. [100 sts] Round 1 Purl. Round 2 *P1, K to 1 st before m, P1, slm, K to m, slm; rep from * once more. Rep round 2 four times more, then work round 1 once.

TO MAKE UP

Cut yarn leaving a tail of approx 80cm, graft the side panels onto the back panel using Kitchener method, leaving 3cm gap for filling. Fill the block with the stuffing, then continue grafting to end to close the gap.

HOW TO USE OUR CHARTS

Start at the bottom right-hand corner. Read right side rows from right to left and wrong side rows from left to right. A row of squares represents a row of knitting.
