Cast on 4 sts using 5mm needles and Yarn B. Row 1 Inc in first st, knit to end. [5 sts]
Next (and every alt) row Knit.
Next row Inc in first st, knit to end. [6 sts]
Next row Inc in first st, knit to end. [7 sts]
Next row Inc in first st, knit to end. [8 sts]
Next row K2tog, knit to end. [7 sts]
Next row K2tog, knit to end. [6 sts]
Next row K2tog, knit to end. [5 sts]
Next row K2tog, knit to end. [4 sts] Rep these 16 rows eight times.
Cast off.
1 Place teeth along cast-off edge of hood and sew in place.
2 With RS facing, place hood on top of towel at top corner and sew pieces together, leaving bottom edge of hood open. Turn RS out.
3 In Yarn C yarn, work two curved lines in backstitch at either side of hood, about 7cm in from outer edges and 13 sts up from garter st border.
4 Work a further two lines inside of these, starting slightly higher and ending slightly higher, with about 3 sts in between ‘gills’.
5 Swiss-darn eyes in Yarn C, following the Chart, starting
6 rows up from garter st border and about 17cm in from outer edge. 6 Separate two strands of Yarn B and work a couple of small straight sts on each eye. Secure all loose ends and press lightly.
