MODULAR KNITTING WORKSHOP
Being Knitterly Studio, Loughborough, Leicestershire
Modular knitting (also known as mitred or domino knitting) is a fun technique in which you knit one module (or shape) at a time. This one-day course led by Nicki Merrall will teach you the basics if you’re an inexperienced knitter, or stretch yourself to learn new skills if you have been knitting for a while. 10am-4pm, £57, which includes refreshments and lunch. LACE KNITTING

Classic lace knitting is a traditional method of creating delicate and intricate work and a skill well worth having. ROYAL HIGHLAND SHOW

The Royal Highland Show is fun for all the family, showcasing the best of food, farming and rural life, plus plenty to see and do including exhibitions and displays such as the Golden Shears Sheep Shearing and Woolhandling World Championships and the Flock to the Show decorated sheep art trail.
