ASUS revealed its first Windows Mixed Reality headset, and accompanying Windows Mixed Reality controllers. ASUS has covered the headset's visor with polygonal-art, providing a pleasing aesthetic. ASUS has also included an antimicrobial cushion inside. The headset uses inside-out tracking which utilises the two front mount cameras to track the controllers, rather than needing additional peripherals. The controllers offer a less ‘gaming focused' button layout. The outside ring is littered with a halo of small LEDs, used to determine the position of the headset in the air. ASUS have confirmed the headsets will be compatible with Steam VR games.
