Home Cinema Soundbar & Subwoofer
Denon recently updated its home cinema speaker range with a new HEOS Home Cinema HS2 soundbar, loaded with additional 4K TV and in the future voice activation support.
Compatible with 4K UHD screens thanks to HDMI passthrough, the HEOS Home Cinema HS2 will eventually include support for Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant when a software update lands in Australia.
Packing a pair of dual 2x5 inch drivers and a pair of 20mm tweeters, it’s one of the few2 soundbars that are ideal for hi-res audio playback supporting files, with FLAC, ALAC, DSD and AIFF formats.
Bluetooth and Apple’s AirPlay streaming are also supported, with Denon claiming it’s made improvements to stability over earlier models. And, if you’ve got any of Denon’s other HEOS speakers, you’ll be able to set them up as a Sonos-like multi-room array.
The HEOS soundbar also features bi-amplified mid-woofers and tweeters with advanced DSP processing working in perfect concert with the wireless subwoofer. This subwoofer with dual 5.25” drivers delivers powerful deep bass with flat response and low distortion thanks to precision DSP audio tuning.
