BRIT BRAND PURE DELIVERS POP UP ALEXA SPEAKER
Brit sound brand Pure appear to have developed a unique Amazon Alexa speaker that pops up and down so that no one can record voices, it also looks stylish and delivers excellent audio output.
Called the DiscovR, the portable Alexa-enabled smart speaker is set to go on sale in Australia this year for around $349 in what is becoming a crowded voice activated speaker market.
Available in two colours Silver and Graphite the device on a simple voice command play music, read the news, set timers and alarms, check sports scores, and control lights around your home. You can also pre-set any voice command, station or playlist to be accessed instantly without the need to ask.
There’s a button to mute the microphone, touch controls for volume and track skipping and source selection is shown by its corresponding colour.
A fully charged DiscovR can power your music for up to 15 hours and thanks to its clever expandable acoustic chamber, it’s even more compact when being operated as a portable speaker.
Able to connect to Amazon or Apple AirPlay-2 the device is both Bluetooth and Wi Fi compatible.
