BLUESOUND LAUNCHES WORLD FIRST 24-BIT SOUNDBAR
Bluesound has launched the world’s first 24-bit multiroom high resolution soundbar, which claims to deliver audiophile-grade bass response without a subwoofer.
The new ‘Pulse Soundbar 2i’ launches in November, and is designed to fit perfectly under a 4K TV.
The soundbar pledges seamless integration with a users’ existing home theatre system, to listen to movies, sports and TV shows in high-fidelity audio.
The new Pulse Soundbar 2i features six integrated high-performance speakers and two passive radiators, to create a fully immersive sonic experience.
Utilising a three-way tri-amplified speaker design, each driver is driven by its own dedicated amplified channel. Low and high frequencies are blended using DSP-powered crossover filters. Each driver is housed within individually optimised chambers - thereby eliminating vibrations - enabling the soundbar to deliver deep bass without distortion.
Providing total control, users can connect the Pulse Soundbar 2i to multiple Bluesound players within a home to form an intuitive multi-room music system.
Users can also program IR remote commands and set listening preferences via the BluOS Controller app.
Providing added intuition, the system is compatible with voice commands via Amazon’s Alexa.
In addition to TV/movie audio, owners can stream any music library from their smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth aptX HD.
HDMI ARC input also claims to make controlling audio entertainment easier than ever.
