DENON HEOS SOUNDBAR HIGH RES MUSIC & BIG 4K SOUND
Compatible with 24-bit FLAC (up to 192kHz), ALAC, WAV, MP3, WMA and DSD (2.8MHz and 5.6MHz) audio file formats, with Bluetooth and Apple Airplay 2 support for music streaming, it’s a formidable standalone music system, as well as a HEOS multiroom streaming solution.
Much like SONOS, HEOS allows music to be streamed around the home to compatible HEOS speakers. With it, you can group speakers together for whole home music streaming, or play different tracks into different rooms.
In home theatre guise, the HS2 soundbar is compatible with Dolby Digital and DTS sound formats, and has two 4K compatible HDMI connections, in addition to optical and coaxial digital audio inputs and analogue stereo. There’s even a USB port for playing music from thumb drives.
Like all HEOS components, setup and control are simplified by the HEOS app. You can also use the TV remote to take control of your system. The HEOS HS2 HomeCinema soundbar suits larger screen sizes, but if your panel is sub 50-inches, consider its stablemate, the slimline HEOS Bar.
This compact soundbar features no fewer than nine front facing drivers in a left, centre, right configuration. If you want to build a larger home cinema system around it, you can add an optional wireless HEOS subwoofer and two wireless HEOS rears.
The Bluetooth bar comes with four 4K capable HDMI inputs, and supports all the main streaming audio services (Pandora, Spotify, Tune-in, Soundcloud, Tidal and Deezer).
Looking for a home theatre soundbar system that doubles as a High-Res Audio system? Then Denon’s HEOS HomeCinema HS2 could be just the ticket.
The Amazon Alexa feature becomes available with Heos in the next few months.
