HE’S HANGING ONTO HOPE!
ENDING HIS MARRIAGE TO Steffy PROVES CATHARTIC FOR Liam, WHO MAKES A HUGE DECISION ABOUT HIS FUTURE WITH Hope.
As Liam’s head clears on The Bold and the Beautiful he decides it’s Hope he wants to be with after all, crushing the mother of his baby!
Once a staunch, loyal supporter of Steffy and Liam’s marriage, Hope is now desperate to ensure Liam gets rid of her – for good, this time! Boldly confessing her love for Liam, Hope urges him to remember the kind of man he was when they were together... and not to compromise his integrity because of Steffy’s sins.
Hope (Annika Noelle) isn’t backward in confronting Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) with her true feelings either, bluntly telling her love rival that Liam (Scott Clifton) clearly deserves the best a woman can offer him.
And a woman who gets down and dirty with her husband’s father isn’t that person! She also makes Steffy realise she’s still in love with Liam and isn’t backing off.
To ramp up her commitment to Liam, Hope provides a most sympathetic ear as he stresses over the belief that he shot his father during a blackout. Eager to protect him, Hope begs Liam not to confess his guilt to Steffy and, once he learns the real attacker’s identity, it’s Hope he turns to in celebration of his moral acquittal. Naturally, Hope’s ecstatic and insists the whole ordeal only proves what she’s always known: that Liam is a good and kind man.
Without hesitation, Hope suggests that Liam set himself free from his toxic father and Steffy; it’s time to put the crazy chapter he’s just endured well behind him. And before he can answer, Hope kisses him deeply, startling him… and understandably turning his head!
The next thing a stunned Liam knows, Steffy’s presenting him with signed annulment papers, effectively ending their marriage, and, while he ponders his next course of action, he thrills Hope by accepting her offer to move into a cabin on Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) property until he gets his life in order. The news doesn’t go over well with Steffy, who accuses Hope of moving in on her husband when he’s vulnerable.
Ignoring the attack, Hope comforts Liam after his run-in with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), who’s in Steffy’s corner and wants to save the marriage. Flustered, Liam tells Hope she gives him purpose in life and, even after a scare with his unborn baby, he still finds himself unable to commit to Steffy. Facing the biggest decision of his life, Liam is awed by the family dinner that Hope hosts in his honour and wishes that he could promise her a future. She’s prepared to wait and, as Liam finally chooses which woman he wants, Wyatt’s (Darin Brooks) revelation about Steffy’s supposed renewal of her affair with Bill (Don Diamont) only reinforces that choice.
Unhappy with the answers that a blindsided Steffy provides in denying the claim, Liam breaks the news to Hope... who’s pleasantly flabbergasted when Liam impulsively sinks to one knee and asks her to remarry him! Caught up in the moment, Hope accepts and they share tender moments and daydream about their future. Thinking she now has everything she’s ever wanted, Hope shows Liam a memento she’s saved from their previous engagement...
The newly betrothed couple is happier than ever, leading Liam to finally sign and file his annulment papers. Pleased Steffy’s been relegated to the trash heap of Liam’s past, Hope happily flaunts her news in her love rival’s face, fuelling a bitter row! A shaken Steffy slinks off to lick her wounds, leaving Hope triumphant in believing she’ll soon be Mrs Liam Spencer again!
