THE BIG REVEAL
Hope AND Liam’s JOY AT FINDING OUT THE SEX OF THEIR LITTLE BUNDLE OF JOY IS TEMPERED BY THEIR PARENTS’ ROMANTIC WOES, Steffy’s MEDDLING AND A SHOCKING FALL FOR Bill!
Liam and Hope find out if it’s a boy or a girl on The Bold and the Beautiful!
That beautiful moment when the sonographer or obstetrician reveals whether it’s a baby boy or girl will be clouded for Hope and Liam by the crazy situation with their own parents! Much to Hope’s dismay, it’s Steffy, her stepsister, longtime love rival and Liam’s ex-wife, who in a heartbeat snuffs out the glow of anticipation!
Taking a minute to thank Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) for rehiring Wyatt (Darin Brooks) at Forrester Creations, Hope (Annika Noelle) is confused when she suddenly snaps at her that she’s not happy – and it’s about Hope’s mother! Dispelling Hope’s concern that she’s actually upset because Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is still making waves about the budget cuts to the Hope for the Future collection, Steffy bluntly snaps that Brooke is the problem! Whenever she turns around, Brooke’s there, disrespecting her marriage to her father!
Naturally rushing to her mum’s defence, Hope’s
“Hope is further outraged when Steffy reveals that she’s already told Ridge about his wife’s betrayal.”
floored when an agitated Steffy blurts out that Brooke was passionately kissing Bill (Don Diamont) in the office just days ago! At first rejecting the very idea her mum would cheat on Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Hope soon has no choice but to accept the sordid truth – as Steffy explains she saw the PDA with her own eyes!
“My mother… and Bill
Spencer,” Hope stammers, immediately blaming the predatory Bill for putting the moves on her mum. Reminding Hope not to jump to conclusions, Steffy says that Brooke freely supported Bill through his recent custody battle with Katie (Heather Tom) – so it’s clear to her that Brooke could’ve encouraged her ex-husband’s advances. Incensed at the assault on her mother’s character, Hope is further outraged when Steffy reveals that she’s already told Ridge about his wife’s betrayal.
In a white-hot fury, Hope storms off to confront Brooke, anxious to get her side of the story to ensure that Steffy doesn’t make any more trouble. She’s done enough damage to Brooke and Ridge’s marriage already! Calming her daughter down, Brooke explains that she’s patched up her differences with Ridge, declaring her loyalty to and love for him exclusively, and promising him that Bill will never come between them. She just wants Hope to stop worrying about her because she needs to focus on herself, Liam (Scott Clifton) and the baby.
Feeling happier to think that Brooke has resolved the problem, Hope gets caught up in her baby bubble as she and Liam visit Dr Phillips (Robin Givens) for the scan that will tell them the infant’s gender. They’re on tenterhooks waiting for the news and when Phillips finally tells them whether to paint the nursery pink or blue, they’re
ecstatic and look towards the future, thinking about all that lies ahead of them...
Sadly, that joy is extremely shortlived with the dreadful news that Bill is fighting for his life in hospital after a fall he took in a slugging with Ridge and Thorne (Ingo Rademacher)! In an absolute state at the news, Liam rushes to the hospital and goes into Bill’s hospital room, overcome with mixed emotions. Despite their ongoing animosity and the fact that he sometimes wishes his father wasn’t around, Liam still loves Bill and is in total shock over what’s happened!
In one terrifying instant, Liam’s gone from that incredible high of learning whether he’s having a little prince or princess to staring at his own father’s comatose, broken body, and wondering whether he’ll live or die! The two contrasting events slam down on Liam as he’s rather brutally reminded of what it truly means to be a parent and a child.
