the property well and the demographic of potential buyers helped Anne Regan make decisions about her Golden Beach investment property.
They moved into the top floor of the Golden Beach block 15 years ago and five years after saw the opportunity to buy a second unit downstairs as an investment.
“We always had a 10-year plan that fitted in with retirement,” Ms Regan said.
“So we would sell the property and we will also sell our business and we are hoping it will all come together at the same time so we can enjoy our golden years.”
The Regans renovated the bathroom and spruced up the kitchen before they put the unit, which sold earlier this year, on the market.
She said the position and growth factors in the area influenced their buying decisions.
“And it’s not that we are against children but we bought a two-bedroom property and thought it might suit a couple in a similar age group to ourselves.”
Ms Regan said she did a lot of research and some comparative market analysis before putting the property on the market. She said when she decided to sell with Henzell Agency’s Iain Simms, it was because she wanted an agent who knew the local area well.
“Iain was exemplary in every way, shape or form and made something that can be very stressful, very easy for us.”
