WELCOME TO THE SHOW!

-

Start right here, with this Show Guide, and plan your way around everything that’s going on at the Australian Hi-Fi

& AV Show. Ensure you miss nothing and get your full dose of spectacular hi- , AV and high-quality entertainment.

Firstly, look at the competitions listed in the pages here. For some of them you’ll need to visit a particular room to get your Competition Card (in your entry bag) stamped. So use that and the Maps on p16-17 of this Guide to help plan your path around the two oors of the Show – down on Level 2 near the Show Entry, and up on Level 21, packed with listening rooms. Secondly, look at the Events &

Special Attractions on page 5 of this guide, as some of them need to be booked in advance, while others require you to be at the right place at the right time!

If you’ve been to one of our Shows before, you’ll appreciate how big some of the rooms are this year — but still they are individual rooms, not open exhibition space. Such open arenas don’t work for listening to audio or watching a whizz-bang AV demonstration. Separate rooms provide a relatively isolated space to appreciate the merits of each system, and also a degree of resemblance to the real home environment, so you can imagine how things would look and sound in your own home. Many exhibitors bring the actual equipment designers themselves to demonstrate and answer your questions — it’s a unique opportunity to get all the information you need on a huge range of audio and AV equipment, from traditional vinyl and valve amps to the latest streaming products, wireless multiroom systems, high-quality headphones, home projection and the latest home theatre audio.

Don’t hurry! — nobody will move you on. Relax in each room and listen to a selection of music, and if it’s busy, wait to get a central seat to hear these world-class audio systems at their very best. If you don’t know already, you may discover how amazing your favourite music can sound — the healing power of music, delivered as the artist intended, through real hi- .
