This award is all about bringing together different home systems using Crestron as the ‘glue’ that binds it all together. Melbourne-based ITA’s client wanted his ‘forever home’ to have it all: comfort, convenience, security, energy monitoring and harvesting, and control of everything inside and outside the residence, including via voice commands through Amazon Alexa devices. The solution brings together 15 streaming music zones for streaming audio, eight televisions (the outdoor 75-inch pictured below right can swivel fully around to face the pool), and a projector system including the golf simulator pictured opposite! Beyond entertainment there is intelligent lighting and environmental control, data distribution and Wi-Fi access, extensive security, of course, and heating and water control including in-slab hydronics to keep your tootises warm on those cold Melbourne mornings. Result!
