SoundTouch 10

The vertically-orientated junior speaker is one of our favourites, perfect for bedside or kitchen, anywhere surface space is at a premium. It stands 21cm high, 14cm wide and a little under 9cm deep, with the six preset buttons on top, plus volume keys, power and an input switch to select the auxiliary minijack input or initiate Bluetooth operation. Set-up, whether from scratch or adding to an existing SoundTouch system is laughably simple. Bose excels at small-speaker sound, the SoundTouch 10 proved highly enjoyable, music emerging solidly, with the midrange richness common to most Bose products, and a treble which is clear but never shrill. Against the very best small rivals it has a slight boxiness, yet it overcomes its compact dimensions to delivers a good underpinning of bass. A highly enjoyable unit, and highly recommended.
