111 YEARS OF ELECTRIC SOUND
The name Denon comes from the Japanese words ‘denki’ (electric) and ‘onkyo’ (sound), a contraction from Nippon Denki Onkyō Kabushikigaisha, the company founded in 1910 by American entrepreneur Frederick Whitney Horn and his Japanese partners. Denon’s ‘110’ celebrations saw four anniversary products released, including the DCD-A110 SACD player and PMA-A110 integrated amplifier (right).
