JBL Clip, Go, Extreme!

-

JBL has delivered the latest update to three of its highly successful portable Bluetooth speakers. Two of them are the dinkiest of the range, with the $59.95 JBL Go 3 (right) a curvily rectangular speaker measuring just 88 x 75 x 4.1mm, yet offering some five hours of playback from a charge, and fully water- and dust-proof to IP67. The $89.95 Clip 4 measures 86 x 134 x 46mm, doubles the battery life and retains the IP67 water/dustproofing, while coming in a colour range including black, blue, pink, squad (pictured left) and white versions. The beastie boy of the range is the vastly larger JBL Xtreme 3, which we have with us for review next issue — it’s 30cm wide and operates in stereo with separate tweeters and woofers, and with passive JBL Bass Radiators in the ends of its tapered cylinder — and quite the presentation it can generate! Battery life is up to 15 hours from a charge, and remarkably it too retains the IP67 rating, so rain — even a pool dive — won’t spoil the fun. Price is $399.95. More info: www.jbl.com.au
