JBL’s ‘Classic’-inspired L75ms Music System
JBL says that its L75ms music system takes its design inspiration from the JBL Classic series of speakers with which it shares its walnut wood veneer cabinet finish and black Quadrex foam grille. But we reckon it’s almost the other way around — the first reappearance of the foam grille and classic white woofers was on the
Sound+Image award-winning Authentics L16 wireless speaker back in 2014, and curves aside, that was not dissimilar from this new L75ms. Time and tech has moved on, though — the new model has built-in Google Chromecast, AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth audio, in addition to a
physical minijack analogue input,
HDMI ARC for playing from a TV, and — thanks heavens — a phono input for a turntable. You can even add a subwoofer to additionally rock the house. Pricing has also moved on, with the L75ms commanding
