Key to its premium status is the use of genuinely native 4K optics without recourse to mirror-switching – it employs a trio of 4096x2160-resolution SXRD panels, able to deliver both white and colour to the maximum available brightness of 1800 lumens. Sony’s new ‘X1 For Projector’ processor, based upon technology from its Bravia TVs, delivers frame-by-frame HDR enhancement, 4K Motionflow, and Super Resolution upscaling. The result is large-screen projection images of truly cinematic quality, with spectacular detail and deep contrast.
