CAMBRIDGE: aptX vinyl pt2

-

Three years ago Cambridge Audio launched the world’s first aptX HD Bluetooth turntable, the Alva TT. The British hi-fi brand chose the CES stage to launch its successor, the Alva TT V2 (AU$3499). Again it has direct drive, a pre-installed Alva MC cartridge, and the ability to stream via aptX HD Bluetooth to wireless headphones or speakers. The tone arm is now improved, also with a detachable headshell; there’s now a switchable phono stage, and you can now turn off the Bluetooth. Cambridge also announced a new more affordable Alva ST direct-drive turntable, still with aptx HD, which will retail here at $1799. Both are due in April.
