BEST INTEGRATED HOME LEVEL IV FINALIST SENTIMENT HI-FI

This luxury home beside Jinji Lake in Suzhou (Jiangsu, China) was purchased by the owner to live in with his newly-married son. The homeowner wanted to create a space that combined the finest design work with the latest technology.

To achieve this vision, Shanghai-based Sentiment Hi-Fi worked closely with a renowned Chinese design company throughout the entire process. The team chose the DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) system and a DMX 512 communication network to create the required atmosphere across the whole home, together with hand-crafted audio brands including Tense, Garvan, and Moovia, dispersed throughout the home to play a selection of carefully crafted music choices. The design team played a major role in ensuring the products, keypads, speakers, and acoustical transparent fabric blended with the home’s luxurious aesthetic.

The televisions in each room have varying levels of audio support: some just have a soundbar, while others have 5.1-channel surround systems. But the ultimate audio experience is in the home cinema where Sentiment chose a 4K system, a high-end amplifier with Trinnov processing, and then Dbox motion seating and a Moovia sofa to enjoy it all on. The client requested a maximum possible screen size in the room, with the first row — his favourite place to sit — having the best viewing angle.

All the tech is powered by six equipment racks: one for the low voltage system, one for the home theatre, one for karaoke, and three for the smarthome system, installed on each floor.
