How to activate Alexa

Alexa works with any HS2 HEOS device (so not the very first set of HEOS releases). If your smart device is already set up with the HEOS app, next download the Alexa app and sign up with your Amazon account. Finally, set up your Amazon Alexa device on the same Wi-Fi network as your HEOS-enabled device.

Using the Alexa app, choose ‘Skills’ then add and enable the HEOS Home Entertainment skill.

Once enabled, select/discover your HEOS devices either by selecting ‘Smart Home’ in the Alexa app menu, then ‘Devices’ and ‘Discover’. Or just say “Alexa, discover my devices.” It’s also advised that you choose easy-to-say names for each HEOS device, like Living Room or Kitchen, to make them easier to address.
