MARANTZ SLIMLINE NR1609 AND NR1509 AV RECEIVERS
Marantz has announced the latest iterations of its NR slimline AV receiver line, the Dolby Atmos enabled NR1609 and 5.1 NR1509. Both add Heos integration to wireless and Bluetooth streaming. Also new is Amazon Alexa support, which allows users to ask Alexa to play, pause or stop music, switch inputs, and turn up the volume.
The range-topping NR1609 is a seven channel Dolby Atmos design, rated at 50W per channel (into 8-ohm). The receiver boasts eight HDMI inputs, all of which support HDCP 2.2 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video, as well as Dolby Vision, HLG and HDR10. It also plays high-resolution files, with support for FLAC, AIFF and WAV up to 24-bit/192-kHz and DSD 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz.
The NR1509 is a conventional 5.1 model, with just six HDMI inputs. Both use Audyssey room calibration, actually Audyssey MultEQ, as well as a Phono input for turntables.
Custom install support includes IP control, Control 4 SDDP, Web UI, Works with Domotz
Pro and Ihiji Invision for remote room monitoring and management.
“Marantz has a legacy of providing absolute topnotch audio solutions for consumers who value sound quality, visual clarity, ease-of-use and beauty above all else,” says Emmanuel Millot, global brand director at Marantz. “The latest slimline network receivers continue to embody this tradition of excellence.
