Tree planting to remember our fallen
THE Nanango community will this month be honouring those men and women who served and continue to serve our country.
The Nanango RSL Sub-Branch will be planting lone pine trees in the Nanango community to remember and honour the servicemen who fell at Gallipoli.
Today, two trees will be gifted by the Sub-Branch to two local schools.
Starting at 9am, the Nanango RSL Sub-Branch and St Patrick’s representatives will hold a ceremony at St Patrick’s Primary School.
The planting of the second Lone Pine Tree will take place at Nanango State High School with their school representatives at 10am.
A third lone pine tree will be gifted and planted at the annual Christmas Nanango Sub-Branch & Citizen’s Auxiliary morning tea on Wednesday December 19 with residents from Karinya Aged Care.
The morning will begin at 9.30am.
